Dry Type Transformer
Dry distribution transformers in this size range are used to step down
three-phase medium voltage to low voltage for power distribution. These
transformers are used primarily in metropolitan areas (public buildings,
offices, distribution substations) and are also found in industrial
applications
Dry type transformers are an ideal solution for applications where the
transformers have to be installed near their place of use. Close
installation saves on the installation outlay of cabling while at the same
time reducing losses in cables and terminals on the low-voltage side.
Dry type transformers are environmentally safe and suitable for indoor and
outdoor applications. They provide excellent mechanical and short circuit
strength, have no liquids to leak, and offer no danger of fire or explosion.
Dry-type transformers require minimum maintenance and provide long years of
trouble-free service. Fire proof vaults and toxic gas venting systems are
not required. With high impulse strength insulation systems, they will
coordinate with all electrical system designs. Conservatively designed, the
sound level is very low, making the Spang transformer desirable for indoor
applications in commercial buildings.
HT With Built in AVR
We produce Transformers with Built-in HT Automatic Voltage Regulator. The
equipment is basically a combination of HT-AVR with a standard distribution
Transformer. The fluctuating voltage from 'Grid' is initially stabilized by
the HT-AVR and then fed to the transformer resulting in the constant L.T.
Output within + 1%accuracy and the Biggest advantage being the robust design
of the equipment which does not demand regular maintenance.
Sometimes, it is observed that even after installing distribution
transformers, the problem of fluctuating voltage remains on the LT side,
resulting in improper function of electrical systems. The only smart way to
tackle this problem is Built-in HT Automatic Voltage Regulator. These
standard transformers can correct limited voltage variations and can not
regulate the voltage in 'on load' condition. HT Transformers with Built-in
HT Automatic Voltage Regulators are highly effective for isolating sensitive
electrical equipment from spikes, DC leakage and line voltage transients.
These systems can be used in various industrial and commercial applications.
Features:
- Better Efficiency
- Energy Saving
- Reduced Installation Cost
- Reduction in Electricity Bill
- Space Saving
- Low replacement cost
Variable Auto Transformer (Variac)
VARIAC is continuously
Variable Auto Transformer, having a
single layer winding on a toroidal core of high-grade cold rolled grain
oriented (CRGO) steel. On one face of the copper winding along the
periphery, a special durable contact surface is made. A Specially finished
carbon brush slide smoothly on the surface. A contact arm holding the carbon
brush fitted on the centre shaft and as the control knob is rotated the
carbon brush slides over the winding and taps of a portion of voltage across
the winding. Any desire voltage with in the Maximum range can be obtained by
adjusting the position of the Brush. The calibrated dial show approximately
output voltage at no load, when the input is at its rated value. Rotation of
the arm by manual or motor drive delivers an output voltage from 0 to above
line voltage.
Features:
- Coils made from high grade CRGO steel
- Simple rugged construction
- 99.9% pure copper
- High Efficiency
- Negligible wave form & power factor distortion
- Smooth & stepless voltage control
- Short time overload capacity
- Simple Installation & Connection
- Low temperature rise
- Long life with negligible maintenance
- High quality carbon brush used for current flow
- Spare carbon brushes provided up to 28 Amp
- Wide range of current rating 4 Amp. To 1200 Amp.

Isolation & Ultra Isolation Transformer
We offer a range of isolation transformer that are mostly used for
decoupling of two circuits. It assists in shifting the power from one signal
to other to without connecting the two circuits electrically. The perfect
role of our range of isolation transformer is to use as power transformer
and safety precaution. However, the bonding is eliminated completely, in
case of isolation transformer. Our range of Isolation Transformers is
appreciated by the clients for following features:
- High operating frequency
- Wide operating voltage range
- High Durability
- Low temperature rise
- Isolating Neutral & Earth
- Noise Reduction
- No Impedance matching required
- No need of extra Filter circuits
Step Up/Step Down Transformers
We offer an entire gamut of supreme quality
Step Up/Step Down
Transformers. A transformer is made from two or more coils of insulated
wire wound around a core made of iron. When voltage is applied to one coil
it magnetizes the iron core, which induces a voltage in the other coil,
(frequently called the secondary or output). The turns ratio of the two sets
of windings determines the amount of voltage transformation.
With a step up transformer or step down transformer the voltage ratio
between primary and secondary will mirror the "turns ratio"
(except for single phase smaller than 1 kva which have compensated
secondaries). A practical application of this 2 to 1 turns ratio would be a
480 to 240 voltage step down. Note that if the input were 440 volts then the
output would be 220 volts. The ratio between input and output voltage will
stay constant. Transformers should not be operated at voltages higher than
the nameplate rating, but may be operated at lower voltages than rated.
Because of this it is possible to do some non-standard applications using
standard transformers.
Single phase transformers 1 kva and larger may also be reverse connected to
step-down or step-up voltages.
The primary components for voltage transformation are the transformer's
core and coil. The insulation is placed between the turns of wire to prevent
shorting to one another or to ground. This is typically comprised of mylar,
nomex, kraft paper, varnish, or other materials.
As a transformer has no moving parts, it will typically have a life
expectancy between 20 and 25 years.
